Most tools are available three ways: HTTP with x402, MCP and as an Apify Actor. Each tool's page lists where it runs.
1. HTTP with x402
Call GET https://api.ambolt.dev/v1/<tool>. Without payment the answer is 402 with the price and payment requirements. An x402 client pays in USDC on Base, Polygon or Solana and retries. Add free=1 for one free call per tool and IP address per day.
curl "https://api.ambolt.dev/v1/iban-validate?iban=DK5000400440116243&free=1"
2. MCP
Add the server URL to your agent. Tools are free to call at 30 requests a minute.
{ "mcpServers": { "ambolt": { "url": "https://api.ambolt.dev/mcp" } } }
3. Apify Actors
The same functions as Actors, billed per event with Apify's free trial credits. See all Actors.
Limits and behaviour
- Failed calls and invalid input are never charged. A search that finds nothing is a valid answer.
- Every response names its source, licence and the time it was read.
- MCP: 30 requests a minute per IP. HTTP: 120 requests a minute per IP.
- Company-level data only: no personal data about third parties.
Response codes

429 | Rate limit; wait for the time in Retry-After | No |
