Not returned: A full crawl of the site.

Questions
How many sitemap files are followed?
Up to ten files from a sitemap index.
Does it crawl my site?
No. It reads robots.txt and the sitemaps and checks a small sample of the listed URLs.
What counts as an issue?
Duplicates, off-host URLs, non-HTTPS URLs, size-limit breaches and sitemaps that do not load.
