Danish electricity prices as an API

Hourly and 15-minute day-ahead spot prices for Denmark and neighbouring areas, plus the CO2 intensity of the grid, from one HTTP call.

Spot prices for the next day are published around 13:00 Danish time. Smart-home scripts, EV chargers, heat pumps and energy dashboards need them in a clean format: one call returns the hours of a day for DK1, DK2 or the neighbouring areas in EUR and DKK per MWh, with the minimum, maximum, average and the cheapest hours already worked out.

The CO2 endpoint returns grams of CO2 per kWh right now and over the last 24 hours, with the cleanest and dirtiest times. Use it to shift flexible loads to cleaner hours.

The calls

Each call returns 402 with the price until a payment is attached; an x402 client pays and retries automatically. Calls that fail are not charged. See Get started and the guide for bots and agents for code.

Questions

When are tomorrow's prices available?

Normally around 13:00 Danish time. Before that the response says the date is not published yet instead of returning guesses.

Which areas are covered?

DK1 (West), DK2 (East), DE, NO2, SE3 and SE4.

Are prices final?

They are the published day-ahead prices for the delivery day and do not include grid fees, taxes or your supplier's margin.
